Aquarius Full Moon (Sturgeon Moon) 2007
Lammas
Time to celebrate the first fruits of the harvest.
Aquarius Full Moon marks a cross-quarter point in the turning of the wheel of the year. Sol and Luna begin to separate in their fertility dance as the wheat fields now are ready for harvest and Luna finishes her cycle of agricultural bounty for the Earth.
This is a great time for socializing and building community contact.
Bread, cakes, ale and wine are especially symbolic foods and drink because they are the products of the harvest and represent the culture of life inherited from many generations of tilling the fields and working in groups and in harmony with the cycles of Mother Nature.
If you have been working really hard lately, you should find yourself at a fruition point at which your work is ready to be harvested.
This chart has a T-square with Ceres and Mars conjunct in Taurus at the apex of the T-square, so there should be some sort of monetary gain inevitably flowing toward the harvest blade of Mars conjunct Ceres in Taurus. The T-square contains an Aquarius stellium consisting of the Moon, Chiron and Neptune, in opposition to Saturn in Leo and Venus in Virgo.
Venus in Virgo is happy to provide us with the fruits of our labor.
Mars is square Saturn, however, so there may be some sort of stop-and-go motion involved in whatever activity may be at hand. If you feel like you are driving with the brakes on, or lurching forward and then stopping abruptly, just realize its the energy in the planetary patterns and try to avoid feeling frustrated, because the impediments will pass.
Actually, the Saturn and Mars square is productive, rather like the muscle contractions involved in labor, squeezing and pushing and stopping intermittently, only to begin the process again in order to deliver something to you in the way of fiancial gain in the house in which you happen to have Taurean energy.
Saturn in Leo trines Pluto in Sagittarius, giving us some sort of longterm transformation in our lives that is inspirational (fire signs).
Pluto in Sagittarius squares Uranus in Pisces, again telling us of change regarding things that are inspirational, or a matter of belief and ideology. Neptune in Aquarius is related to that inspirational change, so we may safely conclude that our humanitarian beliefs are coming to us from the subconscious mind in new and interesting imagery.
We may be picturing a better world for us all by changing our imaginary pictures of the future. How can we be a force for positive transformation and what role does technology play in our visions for the future? These are the issues that may appear to us in dreams, either in private, individual reverie, or in more public and active brainstorming sessions within groups.
The Sabian symbol for the 2007 Aquarius New Moon at the seventh degree of Aquarius presents us with an image of fertility, which is highly appropriate for Lammas:
OUT OF THE COSMIC EGG, LIFE IS BORN FRESH AND VIRGINAL
New actuation of effort by the power of unrealized purposes. Self-expression beyond all expectation. Spiritual protection.
This is a beautiful energy, very productive, very fruitful.
Where are you planting your fields for your your next season of growth? What would you like to see manifesting as you work toward a productive future?
The next two weeks should help you to envision your own personal cycle of productivity for the year ahead as you begin to receive signs and symbols of your own productive endeavors.
When tillage begins, other arts follow. The farmers therefore are the founders of human civilization. -- Daniel Webster, On Agriculture, January 13, 1840
