Descanso Fire Man, White Smoke, Pope One of my favorite writers is Birdie, the Literate Avon Lady from New Mexico.

Her essay, Descansos, is typical of her work, deeply sensitive to messages of grace encoded in quotidien detail.

Thanks for featuring Birdie here, Robin! I love everything she writes... for her spirit exudes from the screen!

28? Seems like an interesting coincidence that 28 appears more than once. How would this relate to the mansions of the moon? Aren't there 28 of those, too?
