Libra Full Moon (Egg Moon), 2007

Easter Time Natural Magic

This year's Libra Full Moon brings us lots of that Pisces energy -- the spacey, idealistic, dreamy, visionary glimpse of Utopia, the surety that life is pretty good and that we can make it better if we try.

Magical moments, fairies hiding behind eggs in the grass, the singing of the beautitudes, the haiku of spring -- Oh how lovely to just be alive!

The Sabian symbol for 13 Libra, the degree of this year's Libra Full Moon, sums it up very prettily:

CHILDREN ARE BLOWING SOAP BUBBLES AT A YOUNGSTERS' PARTY
Healthy stimulation through play and joy of human intercourse. Creative fantasy, spinning of idle dreams. Relaxation.

Just for the moment, that iridescent shimmer of the soap bubble is real, while the bubble holds its tenuous balance and floats lightly through the air.

Mercury and Uranus are conjunct the North Node at 17 Pisces. Energized by conjoining Mars in Aquarius, Neptune in Aquarius is in mutual reception to Uranus in Pisces. This is the magical energy. It's a convention in Fairyland.

Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius are sextile Mars and Uranus in Aquarius, giving transformative benevolence to our desire to change the dream for humanity. People are coming together all over the planet to work in ways that will help us adjust to the coming climate change.

Scientists and financiers are finding innovative ways to become our guardian angels as new technologies are being funded and ways to produce them on a mass scale are being set up. For example, China is setting up factories to mass produce photo-voltaic cells for the transformation to solar energy. This is not a pipe dream: it's true. Wind farms, solar farms, geothermal energy -- it's all taking off right now.

Saturn in Leo is still being the obstructionist, but that is to be expected for the time being.

Have you noticed a great proliferation in conspiracy theories of late? It's that Saturn/Neptune thing.

People who have squares or oppositons of Saturn/Neptune in their own charts are particularly susceptible to consipiracy theories. I've learned to just nod and agree to nearly everything the conspiracy buffs say. I know it's dishonest but there seems to be no reasoning with them. There is no agreement as to what is or what could be a fact, so we will just have to live in the factoidal universe when we are with them. It's kind of like watching reruns of the the old Twilight Zone, what with the space-alien lizards and other factoids of currently popular urban myth.

I have no objection to pookahs, do you?

And of course our media has been blurring the line between story narrative and factual reporting ever since the Hollywood conglomerates took over, so that the popular wisdom, an oxymoron if there ever was one, is now a carefully constructed myth, rather like the "Matter of England" or "The Matter of Rome," which were myths that replaced factual history in the scholastic repetoire for many centuries. Our "Matter of America" is a John Wayne story of good guys versus bad guys. Never mind that it's entirely false. "Americans" seem to like it because it makes us feel good.

Is there something wrong with that?

Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius are doing the John Wayne swagger right now and excessive Jupiter is squaring Mercury and Uranus in Pisces at the North Node. But Jupiter co-rules Pisces, so it's all going to work out in the wash -- as long as Jupiter gets his way -- and he will in terms of some sort of consensual belief.

Sol in Aries and Luna in Libra are nicely balanced, a marriage of opposites in perfect balance and harmony, a Yin and Yang duet for a night at the opera.

The harmony of the spheres is made only slightly discordant by Venus in Taurus at the apex of a T-square. The energy of Aquarius and Leo will swirl into the Venus in Taurus. Venus in Taurus is strongly sensual, so the discordance between humanitarian Aquarius and authoritarian Leo will be absorbed into an eddy of consensual pleasure. It's an invitation for wining and dining, but remember that right now, just as Jupiter prevails in Sagittarius, Venus rules in Taurus.

If you take a ride on Cleopatra's barge, be prepared to swoon in the perfume.
