Sagittarius Full Moon (Honey Moon) 2007

Flowing Honey

All's Well that Ends Well

Sagittarius Full Moon of 2007 (Honey Moon) presents us with a Grand Trine in fire in the terminal houses (fourth, eighth and twelfth), along with a Mutable T-Square to Sol and Luna in the sixth and twelfth houses respectively, with Uranus and the North Node of the Moon at the apex of the T-Square in Pisces in the third house.

The T-Square gives the nation a great deal to think about and to discuss. The title of Al Gore's new book, Assault on Reason, pretty well sums up the nation coming to terms with the media's disservice to the country, while the fire Grand Trine in the terminal houses indicates active progress is being made behind the scenes in military issues affecting the country, and such momentum will probably be successful and in the best interests of the military leadership (Mars in Aries) of the country, as well as for the general citizenry (fourth house).

Mars and Jupiter are both strong in this chart, since each is posited in the sign of its own rulership, Aries and Sagittarius, respectively.

Mars is at a degree characterized by the Sabian Symbol -- 13 Aries -- of a bomb threat that is caught in time, and the Moon is at the Sabian symbol -- 13 Sagittarius -- of a widow returning to the notion of herself being loveable, a rebirth of hope in the area of relationship.

As applied to the country, such imagery could indicate diplomacy may be functioning, but only through the means of hidden (Moon in the 12th house) threats (Mars in Aries in the fourth house) of the "Walk softly, but carry a big stick," school of diplomacy (trine).

The media headlines of the past few days say there has been progress in peace talks involving Iraq and Iran, even as US warships move into Iranian waters and stories abound of US and Isreali air exercises for bombing Iran.

In addition, there have been numerous international reports of US-initiated undermining activities carried on in inside Iran: the so-called black-ops operations, which are CIA attempts to destroy a country from within by using propoganda and random violence, are said now to be in full operation within the borders of Iran.

The Saturn/Neptune oppostion occurs in the nation's second and eighth houses, showing a great deal of disillusionment about the wasting of tax monies on continued funding of the war in Iraq, even as liberal politicians give lip-service to themselves as being agents of change to end the war.

The liberal charade is going over like a lead balloon. Activists such as anti-war protestor Cindy Sheehan are becoming disheartened and leaving the Democratic Party. When Saturn opposes Neptune, the people's interests are ignored.

Venus in Cancer in the eighth is trine Uranus in Pisces in the third, showing that the advertising industry's blandishments for ladies apparel and home furnishings will be successful and all the profit is through credit. Television shopping will seem appealing to the women.

Mercury in Cancer in the seventh says we are in a mood to think about feathering the nests, preparing the summer barbecue feasts and just generally feeling secure at home.

The last New Moon was conjunct Algol at 26 Taurus, and the news has been full of massacres and beheadings in the Middle East and Africa.

This Full Moon looks a bit more benevolent than the Taurus Moon two weeks ago.

Nevertheless, the rose-colored glasses of hope for change through the liberal Congress have already several months ago turned into shades of gray. Disillusionment was bound to happen with the Saturn/Neptune opposition. There would no doubt be at least more instance of the wool being pulled over the public eye and the deception once again exposed.

Mars in Aries near the fourth-house cusp could bring some wildfires that could do a lot of damage to homes and countryside. Nevertheless, action to put them out should be speedy and generally successful.

By the way, this moon is the second of May, 2007 so it's a
Blue Moon.
