Taurus New Moon, 2007

Planting Roots
Taurus New Moon chart for 2007 presents us with two unstable T-squares, a conjunction to the malefic fixed star Algol, and a very strong Mars by sign and placement.
Seeds planted now will grow to be hot, so make your best efforts to plant and nurture seeds of peace and benevolence.
This New Moon, coming after the turning point of the squares of Uranus/Jupiter and Mars/Pluto completes a season of letting go in order to move on to another round of evolution on the wheel of the year.
With Mars, Pluto and Algol highlighted at this Taurus New Moon, along with the experience of releasing the recent Scorpio Full Moon energies, we find this is a time of renewal through releasing negativity and recycling waste to fertilize planting for the next cycle of spiritual and material growth.
We've had to let go in order to grow.
The chart cast for the White House does look precarious, to say the least. Mars is sitting right at the Descendant, and strong at the first degree of Aries in the house of open enemies. The first degree of Aries is at the Imum Coeli of the US Sibley chart, so there could be some trouble with armed aggressions.
The New Moon itself is in the eighth house, conjunct the ninth house cusp and Algol, the fixed star associated with massacres, so things look a bit ominous in the foreign affairs department.
Sol and Luna conjunct in the eighth house form the apex of a T-square involving Saturn in Leo in the eleventh house of representative government and Neptune in Aquarius in the fifth house of the entertainment business.
The president on May 10 -- when Jupiter was square Uranus -- was paid a visit by 11 Republicans who informed him that the country has lost confidence in his leadership. It was said to be an important turning point, as was the House of Representatives' vote that came down highlighting the imminent withdrawal of troops from Iraq in spite of presidential opposition to complete and speedy withdrawal. In addition, Alberto Gonzales' insistence on remaining in his position as US Attorney General was also highlighted in Congressional Hearings on May 10. Gonzales remaining in office only increases the precariousness of the hold on power of the chief executive, who has no legal ground to stand on except as having been manufactured by Gonzales' fanciful interpretations of international and domestic law. Saturn in Leo is weak, but it is trine Jupiter in Sagittarius, giving it a temporary hold on power.
Jupiter, Mercury and Uranus also form a T-Square, with Uranus at the apex. The issues highlighted appear to be exaggerated reports of events in foreign countries that do not jibe with images broadcast by the electronic media that affect the working classes. Again, the credibility issue is the main focus, as disbelief fills the air.
Mars is sextile the New Moon conjunct Algol, so it may seem like a time for an easy opportunity for violence on a mass scale to divert attention from issues of credibility.
All in all, it's a time to pray for and to visualize Peace on Earth. Venus in Cancer in the tenth spreads a compassionate mantel over the Earth and trines the North Node of the Moon in the sixth house, so miracles of diplomacy (Jupiter in Sagittarius) that benefit the common people (Uranus and North Node in the sixth house) are possible using the medium of the Oversoul.
