Venus Enters Virgo, 2006

Little Nurse DollWe Love What is Good for Us

Now that Mars has moved himself over to Libra, where he is singing the song, "Ain't Misbehavin,' I'm savin' my love for you," he is finding he's going to have a good, long wait.

Why?

Just before he arrived in Libra, Venus packed up her make-up bag and split. She moved next door from Leo into Virgo, the sign of the Virgin, where she traded in the cosmetics bag for a medical kit.

She's tired of stage make-up after her stay in Leo, and now she wants to be practical and serve the needs of others.

Sounds like Lysistrata has been organizing in the neighborhood, doesn't it?

Venus will be practicing her therapeutic massage techniques in Virgo, the sign of service, from September 5 at 11:15 p.m. until October 1 at 00:38 a.m, when she will follow Mars into her own sign of Libra, where she will gradually move closer and closer to her lover until the sparks fly wildly between the two during the second and especially the third week of October.

Normally Venus and Mars don't like each other all that much. He likes war and she likes peace, but when they get close together as in a conjunction, the animal magnetism is just too much to resist for either one and passion rules the moment. (In fact, people who have Venus/Mars conjunctions in their charts have such strong sex appeal that even they themselves are surprised by their effects on other people.)

Until the first of October, however, Venus is in the chaste sign of Virgo, where she would rather express her affection through an act of service, such as cooking a healthful meal, cleaning up the house or office, or putting band-aids on ouchies.

Gone are her flashy, upstaging ways when she was in Leo.

Now she wants only to play a secondary, supportive role.

"You doctor, me nurse."

She's not all that inclined to express her love physically when she is in Virgo because she's just a little bit too picky to easily accept a lover; and if she does accept one, the lovemaking is apt to be rote. Thorough, but rote.

People with Venus in Virgo tend to remain single much longer than others because they are very discriminating when it comes to bestowing their affections upon the opposite sex, and when they do become attracted to another, it will usually be someone at work, someone with whom they will be able to share a life of practical service.

Mars

"Ain't Misbehavin'" Ha! I laughed at the idea, or picture in my head of Mars actually belting the tune! Thank you. I needed to wander off my path for a moment.

Peace.
